Powder Horn Ranch & Golf Club, The, is a Semi-Private, 27 hole golf course located in Sheridan, Wyoming.
The original eighteen holes opened in 1997, followed by the addition of a new nine holes that opened in 2002. The three nine hole segments are The Mountain, The Stag, and The Eagle.
With a nod to the game’s mecca, St. Andrews, the Mountain Nine features a small replica of the famous Swilcan Burn Bridge, as well as large greens, 30 sizeable sand bunkers and the open rolling terrain of a Scottish links course.
Woods and wetlands surround the Old Red Barn to create target golf with Old West flair on the Stag Nine.
The Eagle Nine rounds out the course, offering surprising length and creative shots within a mix of meadow and creek-side terrain.
The Powder Horn Golf Course will challenge your shot making abilities and test your putting stroke on the smooth bentgrass greens. With five sets of tees to choose from, the well manicured grounds of the golf course are playable for golfers on any level. And of course you have 3 unique 9 hole settings that can be paired in different combinations. The golf course offers great views and every measure was taken to preserve the natural beauty the land had to offer.
The Powder Horn also boasts two practice facilities featuring a multi-tiered putting green, large tees and short-game areas.

Great course and the views of the Big Horn mountains are spectacular. We also saw deer and other wildlife when we played. Very enjoyable.

The golf pro in the shop was arrogant and made a pass at my wife. He looked like Barney Fife. Pretty area, but the course really stinks. Bad layout. Blind tee shots on par threes. Conditions were bad and I saw three guys on their decks with their shirt off. I'll never sleep again. Skip it, trust me your not missing anything!!!!!!
